This course will help you with the very basics of Linux system. After this course is expected that you:

• • Can install Linux

• • Understand the tree structure of files and folders

• • Navigate in the Linux Terminal

• • Handle Text (Under development)

• • Making small scripts (Under development)

This tutorial is an adaptation and extension from the material of two courses. One created by Jasper Zuallaert (VIB-UGent), with the help of Alexander Botzki (VIB) and Kenneth Hoste (UGent).
