This section contains the following questions:

  • Who will be responsible for data documentation & metadata?
  • Who will be responsible for data storage & backup during the project?
  • Who will be responsible for ensuring data preservation &
    sharing?
  • Who bears the end responsibility for updating & implementing this DMP?

By default, the PI bears end responsibility for the DMP & its implementation. Responsibility for day-to-day data management may be shared among project team members, and with institutional services (e.g. IT service), or it may be outsourced to others (e.g. data repository, external partner).
